Renders of new Samsung smartwatch possibly Galaxy Sport leaks

Samsung’s 2017 Gear Sport and their 2016 Gear S3 peculiarly had different agenda and for both of these years, they had a different target audience in mind. The same thing can be said about the Galaxy Watch which was released in 2018. It suffices to say that when it comes to the smartwatch release and branding strategy, they are all over the place without having any idea about a coherent market in mind. A brand new fitness-centric wearable device is rumoured to be already in the making. The new wearable device is codenamed “Pulse” and first photos of “Pulse” have been leaked online by Steve H. McFly on OnLeaks.

The leaked photos show that Samsung has done away with the rotating bezel which adorned the previous smart-watches and the smooth surface makes it difficult to deduce how the Galaxy Sport could implement the popular rotating navigation feature if it could be implemented at all. This wearable device, according to a report, may be named after the Galaxy Watch rather than being named after the original Gear Brand. Shockingly the new device named after the Galaxy Watch would not have any upgraded Galaxy Watch’s specifications. Rather, it is a direct sequel to the Gear Sport series.

Max J. has also tweeted about this new wearable device saying, “According to a source I’m working with for the first time the new Samsung Watch codenamed “Pulse” will be a predecessor of the Gear Sport. It will have Bixby and is 5 ATM water resistant. Some Specs following soon!” The two side-mounted buttons which can be prominently seen in the leaked photos makes it different than the previous Gear Sport and Galaxy Watch. Samsung has replaced the capsule shape dial to a circular design. It is not clear as of yet whether Samsung would make an announcement regarding the watch or when it would be released.
