Samsung SM-T515 tablet with Exynos 7885 SoC may get unveiled at MWC 2019

The Samsung SM-T515 tablet Geekbench listing reveals that the upcoming tablet will be powered by Samsung’s in-house developed Exynos 7885 octa-core SoC under the hood. A week ago the Galaxy A50 was spotted on Geekbench running an Exynos 9610 chipset with 6GB of RAM, and a day ago the Galaxy A40 made its way to the benchmark site with an Exynos 7885 chipset.

Now, The Geekbench listing reveals that Samsung’s upcoming tablet SM-T515 will have just 2GB RAM powered by Exynos 7885 octa-core SoC. The tablet has scored 1277 points as the single core score and 4031 points as multi-core score in Geekbench.

Built on a 14nm FinFET manufacturing process, the chipset features four ARM Cortex-A73 cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz. The chipset also packs a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU to handle graphics processing. Connectivity-wise, the chipset supports all the latest standards including Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo.

This model number is probably the 4G/LTE version of the tablet since it ends in ‘5’ whereas the model numbers of WiFi variants of tablets usually end in ‘0’. On the software front, however, the Samsung SM-T515 tablet will ship with the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box. It is possible that the tablet may come with Samsung’s new “One UI” for tablets.

Apart from these details, nothing much is known about the SM-T515. The upcoming Samsung Tablet could possibly be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona next month though nothing is yet confirmed.
