Now shopping is easier with the new Google Shopping search

People use Google services – notably Google Search to find everyday products. Whether searching for reviews, sales, coupon codes, or even just images, Search is one of the first destinations for folks looking to buy. The company now announced a big revamp to its Google Shopping product which will create a universal shopping cart across many of its services. It will also rebrand its Google Express store to tie-in to the new Google Shopping experience.

For consumers, there are now options to make their purchase online, at a store, or directly in Google. Google Shopping ads will make it easier for consumers to choose to buy online and pick up in store, driving traffic to bricks-and-mortar locations.

On the surface, the new Google Shopping is quite similar to the existing Shopping Search where you can search for a product, and search results appear from multiple retailers across the web.  Some products will have the option to be purchased straight from Google where Google shall tackle returns and other buyer issues.

For sellers, there are now opportunities to appear on Google Shopping, Google.com, and Google Assistant if you’re a Shopping Actions merchant, a feature that will extend to YouTube and other parts of the Google offering.

The other significant component to Google Shopping is integration with other products from the company. The Google Express app will get an update soon with the new branding, but that hasn’t hit the Play Store yet.
