PokéLand reborn as free to play Pokemon Rumble Rush

The formerly known as PokéLand is reborn after its betas in the form of this new title, which will soon reach mobile devices as a free to play. The Pokémon Company has announced Pokemon Rumble Rush, its new free to play proposal for iOS and Android that will be available soon for both mobile operating systems.

What we once knew as PokéLand, announced in 2017 with several beta versions, has now been converted into Pokemon Rumble SP (in Japan) and Pokemon Rumble Rush in the West. In Australia you can already download it through Google Play; As usual, the launch will be progressive, little by little, in different territories to ensure that everything works as it should.

Pokemon Rumble Rush is not something new, however. The saga has had numerous deliveries in the past, since Nintendo 3DS through Wii and even Wii U. Like Pokémon Shuffle. Its arrival in mobile devices is presented as another option in the natural step of this type of titles to a vertical interface and designed for fast games.

If everything is maintained as in the original games, the main difference here will be your business model, free with micropayments, in a real-time action game through a multitude of linear levels with hordes of enemies and a final zone boss.

According to the description of the Australian store, we can improve our Pokémon to enhance their abilities and the damage points they inflict; likewise, there will be different islands (worlds, with several phases each) to attack, just touch a button on the screen, while the advance will also be through a tactile direction.

It should be noted that this title is not the one recently announced as an agreement between DeNA and The Pokémon Company; this title is in the process of development and will be released before the end of March 2020. The one that concerns us today, Pokemon Rumble Rush, is developed by Ambrella.

The next big thing for fans of the franchise is Pokémon Sword and Shield, on sale at the end of the year exclusively for Nintendo Switch as the start of the expected eighth generation.
