Apple plans to launch more iPhones with LCD screen despite the failure of XR

Apple had launched the iPhone XR which was comparatively a lower priced iPhone last year, but the XR had not been successful in its sales venture. However, Apple Inc. is planning to launch three new iPhones similar to the XR. Among these three proposed new iPhones at least one will be on the highest-end side. Apple reportedly will include some new camera features to give the new phones some oomph. For the highest-end model, Apple has planned to include a triple rear camera and double rear camera for the rest of the two iPhones.

Some people said that Apple may completely drop the LCD model in 2020 but as of now they have to stick to the LCD model. If they decide to completely do away with the LCD screen, the iPhone models will go back to having the organic light-emitting diode, or OLED display. For them to make any changes in the display system as of now can prove to be a tiresome task, if not impossible.

The current iPhone XS models sport the OLED displays and when compared with the other iPhone models with the LCD displays the former ones perform better and they provide better contrast than the latter which is housed in the XR and in iPhone 7 and 8 models. For the XR models to be on the cheaper side, the LCD screen had to be an integrated part of it as the LCD screen is cheaper than the OLED ones.

Along with their brand new innovations, Apple has to keep in mind their pricing strategy to keep a steady flow of consumers. Tim Cook, Apple’s Chief Executive singled out China as the major source of its revenue. 20% of their total revenue comes from the Greater China. Apple, however, has chosen to remain silent and declined to comment on this matter.
